Jean Kawahara is a film editor, specializing in documentaries that capture
the lives of underdogs and marginalized communities.
She loves stories in any medium, rescue dogs, and popcorn.
 

As an editor, I’m definitely more comfortable behind the scenes than in them. Despite my skepticism,
I had fun during my portrait session with Nikki. She put me at ease, time flew, and we ended up with
portraits that felt like “me” (but more presentable!).
